LETS GET PLANNING!

A GUIDE TO YOUR EVENT FLOWERS

It can be really hard to know where to start when it comes to wedding flowers. You have the wedding party, ceremony site and venue to think about as well as your aesthetic and budget.

Although I will try and give an idea of what a usual wedding can include, it is important to remember is that it is your wedding and there are no rules!

Hopefully this guide, along with pricing guidelines gives you a kick start to planning your dream florals. If in doubt, pop us a message!

THE BRIDAL PARTY

Every wedding party is different but can include: bride(s), maid or matron of honour, bridesmaids, flower girls, page boys, groom(s), groomsmen, ushers and parents of the couple.

Members of the bridal party often carry or wear flowers but you must remember it is your day so choose whatever you want! The essentials usually include bridal bouquet(s), bridesmaid bouquets and buttonholes for groom(s), groomsmen and parents. You can choose to add other florals such as flower crowns, corsages and flower pins for up dos.

Please see my price list for a more detailed rundown of different options available.

CEREMONY FLOWERS

Florals for your ceremony very much depend on location. There are three main locations you can choose to put flowers: the entrance to the venue, the aisle and the altar or ceremony area.

For example at a church wedding, the entrance to the church might have an arch to frame the arrival of the bridal party, pew end arrangements could be hung to decorate the aisle and either side of the altar pedestal flowers could be placed.

Depending on the venue there may be other locations you feel need some flowers. During consultation we can discuss this in depth.

Please see my price list for a more detailed rundown of different options available.

VENUE FLOWERS

Flowers for your venue set the scene for your wedding breakfast and evening party. Again, there are no rules it is your wedding day!

Flowers for a venue could include pedestals, arches or urns for the entrance, table centres, flowers for the top table and arrangements for the buffet, bar and cake table. Obviously this is dependant on your venue and can be discussed more in depth during consultation.
